Pros and cons of OpenTable app for iPhone and iPad

OpenTable app good for

Indescribably useful. You never know how much you need it until you use it, and, ultimately, fall in love with this amazing app.

You can make all your dinner reservations in one app, fantastic!

Very useful app. Hope to see more restos. The "discover"/search function is not intuitive.

Super easy to use!! I have used all over Canada and the USA - never an issue!!

Great app. So much quicker and easier to make reservations anywhere in the world.

We travel quite a bit and we often dont have time to research restaurants in the locations we travel to. Having Open Table allows us to see the restaurants available and reservation times available, read reviews, and review menus. We have not been disappointed by a restaurant yet while using the app.

Some bad moments

iOS 10, iPhone 6+ user here. Crashes on launch 100% of the time. Hard restart didnt fix it. Deleting and reloading the app didnt fix it. Absolute garbage. Not even worth being free.

When you add to calendar it crashes every time before completing the calendar add.

I wrote a bad review of Coi in San Francisco because that was the worst Michelin star restaurant Ive ever been to. Got sick after eating their paltry portions. And OpenTable never published it. Which means they dont actually put up real reviews, but only good/average ones so they get more reservations. Dont trust these guys ever.

I use this app a few times a year. It is great for date nights. Just realized that all my points from previous reservations are gone and ALL POINTS expire in 12 months.
